<! Sencha, a green tea .The most popular green tea in Japan . Although it comes from the Camellia Sinesis - a tea plant , tea can be compared to a wine with one exception - aging ; tea tastes better fresh . The art of manufacturing green tea goes back many centuries , yet it is refined with every crop of tea .There are endless methods of steaming , withering and drying green tea . Just like a wine master follows precise steps to make a perfect wine a tea master makes sure each step is taken in a timely manner. Sencha makes a very delicate and flavorful cup of tea. Golden in color with a sweet aroma ,vitamins , antioxidants , flavanoids and excellent flavor >

  • We would like to share with you our experience with Sencha .
  • Besides  "Phendula Tips" Sencha  is our tea of choice . There are many varieties of this finished product - Sencha. Some senchas have a "grassy" aroma , others have sweet flowery  scent .The manufacturing process determines  the flavor and aroma of the tea . Sencha  tea is as close to the fresh tea leaf as one can get  . It is picked , steamed (to stop natural chemical reaction resulting in oxidation - browning of tea tea leaf ) withered and dried . It is considered to be a health drink . Most Chinese green tea is "pan fired" resulting in a "smoky" flavor which alters the green tea´s  taste . One might call this flavoring .
